Welcome to Broadwood Keep
Broadwood Keep is the place we call home. It is here that we have found a place to broaden our interests, a place to warm ourselves by the wood blazing in the fire, a place to keep sheltered from the twists and turns which life throws at us all. It is here we found the joys in gardening and living close to nature, and where we found once again a closeness with each other.
It is here we celebrate each others company, gifts, and talents. We taste the richness of our lives on a daily basis, whether it is in celebrating pottery which comes out of the kiln, food that comes out of the garden, the taste that comes out of a new recipe, or music that come out of the heart.
Broadwood Keep may not be grandiose or elegant, but it is home. It may be a postage stamp of land, but it is our land, and we love it and we cherish it. We nurture it with our care and attention, and it in turn nurtures us with food and beauty.
The Keep is located on just over an acre of land in south-central Illinois. Here you can find us making, growing, doing, the four-legged kids 'helping,' and occasionally we are blessed with a visit from our beautiful daughter. Like the seasons, things are ever changing, and the blog feature of this website will help you stay in touch with events, as the photos will give you a snapshot of our little corner of the globe.
We love our life and all the things which it brings us. We open our doors and our hearts to you, that you might find something pleasing, something that will bring a smile to your face.
